Design for manufacturing builds a good foundation.

Tri-Mack’s engineering staff can provide design for manufacturing support from the outset of your project. This is the key first step to assure the successful qualification of your new product.

Tri-Mack Engineering will work closely with you to optimize your part design for both produciblity and performance. This includes selecting the best material for your application and ensuring that the part design supports the most cost-effective method of manufacturing. Tri-Mack also provides part print input with the goal of minimizing engineering changes and deviations at final part acceptance.

Depending on the timeline of your project, we can also work concurrently to refine the part design while developing the tooling and manufacturing process. All of this upfront work streamlines the development process and provides our customers with the basis for a successful product launch.

CAD, CAM and mold filling analysis help ensure high quality parts.

Tri-Mack relies on solid models in the development of manufacturing and inspection processes. We use the latest CAD software to design molds and fixtures. 

For plastic injection molding, we use Moldex mold filling analysis prior to the mold build to ensure that the part geometry and tool design will work together, producing a high quality component. Moldex lets us model the molding process using your CAD file and our mold layout. This enables us to identify potential issues and confirm tool designs long before any steel is cut.
